Patch Adams. When Medicine becomes Human Love

Patch Adams'story and aim became popular in 2003 when Universal Studio released "Patch Adam's' a film directed by Tom Shadyac and featured by Robin Williams.

From them on his worked has inpired many other organization such as Clown Doctors (, the Canadian Association of Therapeutic Clowns (, Papallupas ( and many other therapeutic clown organization all around the world.

Adam's Patch's work and theories reframed  not only complementary care but the idea of what a "doctor" is and should be. It also shreds light to the importance of the medical staff and patiences to be and feel part of a community. Further more, his work focuses in the reciprocal equality of doctors-patients, and the similar health importance of patients and health carers.
